OBAMA Wins: Letter to my son and daughter

Collin and Danae.,

This morning of history I wake up as a proud Father and African American man to have lived to see this day that my children would witness a historic moment. Never in history has this nation accepted a Black Man to sit in the highest office as President of these United States. Your father's struggle like many other black's in america has been to accomplish things in this life that would set an example for not only others, but my children. I took the course of education and hard work for the hopes of one day my kids could live in a world that they would have a chance to be perceived by those who were in power as; worthy, intelligent, significant and strong. The atrocities in America for 400 years have made it very difficult for African American families, homes, relationships, and marriages to succeed. We all have a way that we see the world. But today is a dawning of a new day. Barrack and Michele Obama have restored my faith in the African American family and will to succeed. They represent what our culture is all about. Daddy does not care what race you fall in love with and spend the rest of your lives. What daddy has always cared about is that you as a young black man and young black woman work hard and never let this world make you feel like you are less than significant. In order to do that, you can't talk about it, you got to be about it. There were many days in my life that I had to push through the debris of being viewed in that way, whether it was in business, work, college...etc. I know what it is like to not get the promotion because I am black. I know what it is like to be disregarded in the classroom because I am black. I know what it like to not get the business because I am black. But I never let those things stop me and keep me down. I always had you guys in mind in my work, even before you were born, I had you in mind. Daddy started pushing himself to do better and be better at 14 years old. I refused to accept less than what this nation was willing to give me. I saw blacks in Central Florida at 14 picking oranges and tomatoes in order to pay their bills. It was a day of change for me. Without knowing any of my children, your mom, grandmother or what the future may hold, I made a decision for myself, my wife and kids that day that I would be a man of intelligence, of education, effort, respectability, and hard work. I never let anybody take that committment away from me. I made that decision at 14 while walking down the street in Tampa, FL. No one was there but me and God. Daddy has always pushed you in the classroom because I know that's where you have your best chance. Barrack and Michelle has worked hard in the classroom and society and now it is paying off. Never confuse Dad's sentiments for you to work hard and be respectible citizens as I don't care. Let me speak for myself. I care through my refusal to watch you fail. I care through my refusal to watch you not TRY. I care through my refusal to watch you do things that I know is not good for you. I care through my refusal to watch you not be honorable. We as black people are not thuggs, ghetto, and gangsters. We are very intelligent people who need to focus our stregnths in the right direction. This is my love for all my children. I have found that when you start out all ready behind the eight ball that you don't have time to play games. It's the way I Father, Pastor, Coach and do Business. I will never change from that because there is too much at stake. I love you guys, your brother and Davion. I want you to do well in life and I will still be there to coach you, push you, father you and pastor you. You are my children and I am committed to you in doing right, but not in doing wrong. Take life serious because you owe a whole lot more to the world and those who struggled before any of us then you can imagine. I expect the classroom, books and hardwork to become your friend and not your foe. Love life and opportunity. Do your best and don't settle to always find a short cut. There are no short cuts in life ... only long hard fought roads. I love you and this is my letter to you on this great American Historical Day...November 5, 2008.

Love Always and Forever,

Daddy.

Book: The Spirit of GREED

Here I am on the eve before one of the most important days that this country has ever faced in the history of it's existence. Tommorrow this nation will choose the new presidency for this nation. Never in the history of this land a Black man has ever been seriously considered as occupying the highest seat as President and Commander in Chief of this nation. 400 years ago in 1607 the first Dutch slave ship transfered 20 African slaves to this new colony. Ever since, the African American people have suffered to be heard, acknowledge, respected, and taken seriously as people and furthermore; leaders in this nation. After 400 years of being disrepected and mistreated, by this time tommorrow, many will have decided if a black man can lead this nation in order to turn our economy around. Senator Barrack Obama has come up out of no where and captured the heart of the people of this nation. 2 years ago I started writing this book "The spirit of Greed" right after I finished my first project "CHOOSE." Strangely enough, after writing several chapters in this book, I struggled with be able to finish this project. I would be held up by the "Spirit of the Lord" to pay attention to many more things before I could continue to write on this subject. Several times in 2007 I tried to finish this project, but could not continue therein. It became my personal goal to have it completed by Thanksgiving 2007. Again, nothing was coming to me to write. It would not be until fall of 2008 that the Lord would begin to pour again into my spirit the completion of this book. Let me say that, when I started this project 2 years ago, I had not the elections or even this nations economy in mind. But in this past year, that has been the main subject in our daily news. Our nations has faced some of the worse economic crisis since man has stepped foot in this country. It has been so bad that never in life did I think that many of our white brothers and sisters would band together with blacks, hispanics, jews...etc, and show that we must come together and do what is necessary to turn our nation around. It has been a humbling experience to see this country come together for the same cause. I didn't realize it 2 years ago when the Spirit of the Lord gave me this subject of the "spirit of Greed" that I would be writing about the very thing that many are now realizing that has brought our nation to economic disaster. This book can not have been written more timely. The spirit of Greed has rocked this nation to the point that people of all races, beliefs, and backgrounds are showing early in the polls that they for the first time, are willing to put the first black man in public office as the President of these United States to turn this economy around. They are willing to take control from those who have abused money and power and give it to another party. I am suddenly reminded of the words that God spoke to Abram in Genesis 15:13-14 "Know for certain that your descdants will be strangers in a country not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated for 400 years. But I will punish that nation they serve as slaves." It would be exactly 400 years when this black man hit the campaign trail in 2007 and started sweeping the support of this nation to the credit of the greed of many wealthy legislators, brokers, and bankers that abused the resources of 95 percent of Americans. The book "The spirit of Greed" is not only dealing with the greed for money and power. It deals with greed in relationships, in parenting, in business, in music and in your community. Greed is proving itself to be the most vilest and out of control spirits that we all will ever face and have to deal with in this life. Please feel free to contact me via email for your Pre-Order. The printed copies of this book will be available NLT February 28, 2009. The Price will be $15.95.

Book: CHOOSE II "15 biblical principles to overcome a Betrayal in your life"

After writing my first book entitled “CHOOSE”, I knew there would be a sequel to that project. It was burning in my spirit. But I did not know what, when or how it would be released. I knew there was something else coming. CHOOSE II is the second part of my first project that the Spirit of the Lord has placed in my heart. The only difference is that the 15 biblical principals that the Lord has given me to share with others in this writing is: "How to overcome the Betrayals that we experience in life." I have found and experienced that many of us live this life in Christ, but we are no more equipped, qualified or trained to handle a betrayal than we are prepared to be the next man or woman on the moon. We learn so much in our educational systems, but we are never taught by our lecturers what to do when a betrayal comes our way. Jesus was betrayed by the very people that he loved, fed and ministered to. He is the epitome that the Father has chosen to teach us how to overcome such treachery in our lives. I have raised three children and have pastored for over 12 years, but never have I taught my kids or parishioners how to overcome being betrayed. In fact, many say that betrayal is the last stage that we all go through before great promotion. I’m not sure how true that is, but we know that Jesus was betrayed by Judas before his greatest promotion which led to his ascension in heaven. He now sits at the right hand of the Father, high and lifted up, making intercession for you and me. Please feel free to contact me by email for your Pre-Order. The book is being made ready for print and copies will be available NLT February 28, 2009. We will keep you posted on its print. Price: $15.95
